Gamba the Carcharodontosaurus: Biting and Tearing Rapidly

Carcharodontosaurids were a group of relatively large theropod dinosaurs that appeared in the Late Jurassic Period. They lived in many parts of the world. Fossils of Carcharodontosaurus were first discovered in North Africa. Despite the large head, Carcharodontosaurus’s brain was only half the size of a T-rex’s. In other words, Carcharodontosaurus was not as intelligent as the latter.

Even so, in the Early Cretaceous in present-day North Africa, Carcharodontosaurus had almost no rivals. It played its strength to the limit; its large body, sharp teeth, quick bites, strong hind legs, and powerful tail, all helped it to become the top land predator of its habitat.
